We can offer limited medical care to community cats in need through our participating veterinary partners. This will depend on the severity of the medical issue, the prognosis and outcome for the cat, and whether there is someone to care for and rehabilitate the cat. If the medical costs are substantial, we will ask that you create a social media fundraiser such as GoFundMe to help raise money for the medical care. We also ask that you pay whatever you can towards the costs.

If you bring a cat to us for medical care, you must sign a medical release that authorizes us, along with our veterinarians, to make medical decisions that are in the best interest of the cat, including humane euthanasia if the veterinarian determines the cat is suffering and does not have a good prognosis. All communication and medical decision making concerning the medical care of the cat will be between the veterinarian and Trap Dat Cat. We will update you as we receive updates from the veterinarian. If you would like to request medical care for a cat, please email us HERE. Please describe the cat's condition in detail, including when the illness/injury first occurred. Please also include pictures and video. We cannot make a decision on what is needed without pictures. 

Please note we do not provide emergency care. We do not always check our email or social media messages in a timely manner. If there is a cat that is severely injured and suffering, and cannot wait, please take it to a veterinarian or emergency clinic. You can also call Animal Control through the LA SPCA by dialing 911 and asking for Humane Law and telling them there is an animal in distress. They should be able to come out to pick the cat up if you can get it secured. ​
